Ingredients

  • 1(17) ounce package corn tortilla chips
  • 8 ounces shredded colby-cheese
  • 1(1.25) ounce package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1(14.5) ounce diced tomato with green chile pepper drained
  • 11/2 pounds beef lean ground

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F).

  2. In a medium skillet over the medium heat,brown the ground beef and drain the fat.

  3. Now add the diced tomato with green chile peppers,water,sour cream and taco seasoning.

  4. Now let the simmer for 7 to 10 minutes.

  5. In a bottom of baking dish, place a layer of tortilla chips. Cover with a layer of the meat mixture then a layer of cheese. Repeat the process again and again until the last layer is cheese.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven up to 18 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese becomes bubbly.
