Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 11/2 teaspoons cumin.
  • 1/2(0.5) teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 4 slices(pieces) bacon chopped(diced)
  • 8 ounce ham (diced)
  • 1 piece Jalapeno chile minced and seeded
  • 1 piece red bell pepper diced and seeded
  • 2 cloves(pieces) garlic chopped(diced)
  • 1 piece onion chopped(diced)
  • 1 pound Black eyed peas rinsed,dried and sorted
  • 1 cube(piece) chicken boullion
  • 6.5 cups drinking water
  • 1 teaspoon salt, only for taste optional

Instructions

  1. Take a slow cooker and pour drinking water in cooker. Then add the bouillon cube and then stir to dissolve. Combine the pepper,cumin,cayenne pepper,bacon,ham,jalapeno pepper,bell pepper,garlic,onion,black eyed peas and salt(optional); stir and blend them.

  2. Now cover the slow cooker and cook it on Low heat for 6-7 hours until all the beans are tender.

  3. All done take out your peas and enjoy your meal.

Try to use a liner in slow cooker for easier and quick cleanup.
